Description

Hempriggs House is an earlier 19th century single-storey cottage with a wide two-bay layout. The building is constructed of rubble with tooled ashlar dressings, all of which are whitewashed. The off-centre door is concealed by a modern porch that includes a side entrance. To the right of the porch, there is a single small pointed-headed window, and the south gable features two similar windows, all with lattice pane glazing and wooden astragals. The cottage has renewed end stacks and a piended slate roof. A simple drystone wall encloses the garden plot.
