Description
2 Moss Road in Tain is an earlier 19th century, two-storey house with an attic and three bays. It features a central door and is built of coursed rubble with tooled ashlar dressings, which have later stop-chamfering on the ground floor windows. There is a lintel and eaves band, and the windows have 4-pane glazing. The house has a later 19th century crenellated rustic porch that retains its original glazing. The return gable facing Hill Street includes ground and first floor windows. There are two piended dormers with original 6-pane glazing and broad end stacks, all under a slate roof.
At the rear, there is a single-storey harled wing topped with a corrugated iron roof. The property is enclosed by a low coped retaining wall with spearhead cast-iron railings, as well as a coped rubble garden wall.
