Description
13 Manse Street in Tain consists of a pair of two-storey, three-bay houses built in the earlier 19th century. The houses are constructed from coursed dressed rubble with tooled dressings. They feature a continuous cill course at the first floors, with 2- and 4-pane glazing throughout, an eaves band, and both end and ridge stacks topped with a slate roof.
Number 13 has a gable end facing Rose Street and includes a two-storey, two-bay wing at the rear, along with a glazed timber porch that has bargeboarding. Number 15 has a later 19th-century porch made from matching materials and also features a rear wing. In front of the houses, there is a low retaining wall with simple spearhead railing.
