Description

Simple 18th century single storey 3-bay cottage, rubble with

ashlar dressings. Chamfered door architraves; slightly

enlarged windows; crowsteps; corniced end stacks set

diagonally slate roof and stone ridge. North gable, with

enlarged window and slit apex attic light, incorporated in

portion of castle wall beside plain, high round-headed arched

entrance. Pair studded doors to archway.

Coped castle wall extends at west of entrance arch as

semi-circular recessed bay, with gunloops and 19th century

continuous stone seat.
