Description
This is a large three-storey T-plan mill located in Castletown, dated 1818 or 1819. The building is constructed of rubble with tooled rubble dressings. The north elevation is wide and symmetrical, featuring a central kiln block flanked by three bays on either side, along with projecting gabled chutes. To the south, there is a three-storey, six-bay wing that also projects and includes another gabled chute. The fenestration is mainly symmetrical, with a first-floor entrance located in the south gable, accessible by a forestair. The east and west gables are crowstepped, and there is a single ridge stack. The roofs are covered with Welsh and Caithness slate. Inside, all machinery and the internal overshot wheel have been removed.
