Description

The Ice House in Castletown is an early 19th century structure featuring a large vaulted single chamber. It is constructed of rubble with rubble dressings. The north front has a gabled design with a central door. The round-headed gable is framed by a single row of vertically set sections of flagstone, and there are narrow flanking wings. The roof is made of flagstone and is partially covered with turf.
