Description
Wraes Mill is an earlier 19th century mill constructed from rubble with dressed stone quoins and dressings. The mill building has a T-plan layout and stands two storeys high. It features a symmetrical three-bay east elevation, with doors located in the outer bays and a central window. The upper floor has three windows. The two-storey section of the T retains a kiln ventilator, although most of the original machinery has been removed. There is a lower single-storey extension to the west, and an adjoining single-storey L-plan range to the south, which has painted rubble with asymmetrically placed doors and windows, including one later dormer. The roofs are covered with slate.
