Description

These are a pair of single-storey and attic cottages, probably built around 1863 by A & W Reid of Elgin and Inverness. Each cottage has two bays, with entrances in the inner bays. The cottages are constructed of pointed rubble with harl plastering, and have harled side elevations. Each cottage has a gabled dormer window with a bargeboard in the outer bay, four-pane sash windows, coped end stacks, decorative gable bargeboards, and a slate roof. A single-storey lean-to has been added to the rear. Undated drawings relating to the cottages are recorded in the Guisachan Estate plans, held at the Moray District Record Office, Forres, within reference DAWP 1232.
