This is a single-storey, 3-bay, gable-end-type cottage, likely dating to the later 19th century. The building is constructed of rubble with large, roughly squared dressings and quoins. It features a central door flanked by two 4-pane sash windows, and a smaller window to the rear. Square end stacks are topped with concrete copes, and the roof is thatched with marram over turf.

The interior is unusually complete, featuring simple chimney pieces in each room and one bed recess. Most walls and ceilings are timber-lined. An addition is present on the left gable, featuring a single door and window, and a corrugated iron roof.

Attached to the rear, at the northwest gable, is a single-storey service wing, now adapted for garage use with a large door. The property is enclosed by a coped rubble wall, with simple monolith gate piers supporting a pair of spearhead cast-iron gates and a matching pedestrian gate, representing an interesting and well-preserved arrangement.
