Description

This is a circa 1825 house on Sutherland Street, Helmsdale, built to a symmetrical design with three bays across and a central doorway. The exterior is harled with contrasting painted ashlar margins outlining the windows and corners. The windows are sash windows with four panes to each. The roof is slate, with chimney stacks at each end of the building. A single-storey lean-to extension is present on the north-west gable. The house occupies a corner site where Sutherland Street meets Lilleshall Street.
