Description

Circa 1875 with considerable later additions and alterations,

A Maitland and Sons, 1902. Tooled ashlar, polished ashlar

dressings; rubble rear. Earlier portion consists of 2 storey,

wide 3 bay house with centre door; Doric pilastered doorpiece

with blind case and with lugged architraved window above;

2 flanking 2 storey canted bay windows linked with continuous crenellated wallhead parapet with angle turrets. Band course

between ground and 1st floors. Extensive NW additions with

tall 3 stage Baronial tower with angle turrets and stair

tower, decorative parapet and crenellation. Oriel at 3rd

stage; roundheaded entrance with hoodmould at base of tower; crow-stepped north gable with apex finialed aedicule; slate

roof.

Interior; panelled interior contemporary to later alterations.

Square ashlar gate piers with fluted and moulded caps.
