Description
Craiglea is an earlier 19th century building, originally comprising a shop and dwellings. It is a 2-storey, 8-bay structure with a northeast-facing elevation. The exterior is harled, with three entrances visible. The first-floor windows are smaller than those on the ground floor, and the windows are largely fitted with 12-pane glazing. Symmetrical ridge stacks rise from the Caithness slate roof. Irregularities are apparent along the south and southeast garden frontage. The building was formerly the shop and dwelling house of William MacLean. The statutory address is Latheronwheel (Janetstown) Craiglea.
