Description

House; dated 1750. Symmetrical 2-storey and attic, 5-bay

SE facing frontage; rubble, ashlar dressings; some modern

harling to rear, partially modern, service wing.

Corniced centre entrance, with reeded detailing to jambs;

double leafed panelled door with narrow fanlight. Bracketted

cornice to worn dated panel above; centre raised gable with

apex stack and small centre window with chamfered jambs and

shouldered lintel; simple chamfers to all other window

architraves. 2 piended dormers to rear; mainly 12-pane glazing;

end stacks; slate roof.

Wide projecting modern porch (circa 1970) in centre of NE-gable

linked to modern, rubble, single storey and attic, 3-bay

service and garage wing set back from main house; 3 piended

dormers.

Interior simple moulded cornices to ground floor rooms;

shell-headed, key-stoned alcoves flank Adamesque chimney

piece in south ground floor room.

Walled garden; Large early-mid 19th century rubble walled

garden with rounded rubble cope.
