Description
Sparrow Castle is a house dated 1776, featuring a south-facing, two-storey structure with a regular three-bay layout. It has slightly set back, later additions of single-storey, two-bay gable wings. The entrance is off-centre and includes a modern flat-roofed porch with a side entrance. The exterior is harled with ashlar margins and dressings, while the porch is made of random rubble.
The early part of the house showcases roll moulding on the door and window jambs, and all front openings and angles exhibit long and short detailing. There is a secondary entrance located in the east wing. The first-floor windows are small and fitted with modern glazing. The main house features moulded copes on the end stacks, while the wings have simple coped end stacks. The roofs are covered with slate. Additionally, there is a modern set back garage located at the northeast.
