Description

This is a single-storey and loft rectangular barn, likely built in 1793, located at Newton Nurseries in Spynie. The structure features harl-pointed rubble with tooled rubble and tooled ashlar dressings. The long elevations are on the east and west sides. The northern portion of the barn consists of three bays, with opposing doors located centrally on each face of the west elevation. There are three loft openings, and the barn has a slate roof with a stone ridge, although the former apex ball finials are missing. A forestair is present at the northern gable, leading to the loft door.
