Description
This is a substantial, 2-storey barn built around 1774, featuring a gabled, rectangular shape. The barn is notable for its narrow-slitted openings with splayed embrasures on the upper level, which include six on the side walls and three on each gable. The exterior is constructed from random rubble with an irregular arrangement of doors and windows on the ground floor. The original openings have round-arrised schist margins. The roof is covered with grey Scottish slate, and it has cast iron rainwater goods.
Inside, the barn has a cobbled floor, but the upper floor is missing. The roof is supported by timber beams.
