Description

Circa 1870. 4-storey tenement block between Radnor Street and

Clayslaps Street, 10 unequal bays, 3-bay return to Clayslaps

Street, 8-bay to Radnor Street. Yellow sandstone ashlar. Shops

at ground floor, some shop front detail survives with moulded

basket arches. Cornice over ground floor. 1st floor wide canted

outer and central bays. To W of centre 4-paired windows, to E

3 windows (centre blind); canted windows with roll-moulded

arrises, all with consoled cornices. Cill course and

architraves to 2nd and 3rd floors, simple cornices to 2nd. Main modillion cornice, balustraded parapet survives in pair.

3 simplified bays to Clayslaps Street. Radnor Street

symmetrical with 2 centre bays canted above ground.
