1287, 1291, 1295 Argyle Street, Glasgow

This building, located at 1315, 1317, 1319, and 1323 Argyle Street in Glasgow, dates from around 1875. It is a long, four-storey tenement range with five bays that are shallowly advanced at both the east and west ends. The exterior is constructed from yellow sandstone ashlar.

The fascia and cornice above the ground floor are still intact, and some details of the ground floor shops remain. The windows are arranged in a pattern of 1-3-1, 3-2-2-3-2-1-1-2, and 2-1-1-1-2, all set within architraves. The first floor features decorative consoled cornices, while there is a cill course at the second floor, with the outer windows corniced, and another cill course at the third floor.

A simple entablature is raised at the ends and off-centre. At the east end, there are four canted angle bays that house a public house, which has a return to Overnewton Street. The west end features a curved angle with one bay facing Blackie Street.
