Description
This building, located at 160-166 Hope Street in Glasgow, dates from around 1835 and is a three-storey classical tenement that has been converted into offices. The ground floor has been altered for use as a bank, featuring channelled and pilastered details. The façade consists of five bays across, with the first and fourth bays from the south on Hope Street being blind at the second floor. The exterior is finished in polished ashlar, and it includes sash and case windows that are architraved and corniced at the first floor, with some featuring 12-pane glazing. The building is topped with an eaves cornice and a blocking course, and there is a corniced wallhead stack facing Hope Street.
