St Martin's R.C. Church Presbytery, 201 Ardencraig Road, Castlemilk, Glasgow

St Martin's Roman Catholic Church, located at 201 Ardencraig Road in Castlemilk, Glasgow, was designed by Gillespie, Kidd and Coia and completed in 1961. The building consists of a church and a presbytery, constructed from concrete and facing brick, which is now rendered, with copper roofs.

The church has a trapezoidal shape with an apse that contains the altar. It features small, irregularly-placed rectangular windows glazed with coloured glass. The main source of lighting comes from the roof, which tapers down from the apse to the ecclesiastical west end at a variable pitch. There is a deep concrete eaves band with a plain cope, and the apse roof is flat.

Inside, the church showcases pointed grey brick and polished wood. Confessionals are located to the north, and there is a choir gallery above the entrance.

The presbytery is a two-storey building with a basement, set into the hillside and topped with a monopitch roof. It has irregular rectilinear glazing in a 1920s Dutch style and features vaulted concrete ceilings.

Due to the sloping site, the roadway includes extensive stairways made of concrete with steel rails, as well as a ramped roadway and a car park that is hard landscaped with lines and patches of granite setts.
