Description
This is a castellated gothic bridge designed by David Hamilton, believed to have been rebuilt around 1833. It features a single depressed arch that carries a driveway over a narrowing between two ponds, located next to Castlemilk House. The bridge is constructed of ashlar stone and has corbelled and crenellated parapets, with dummy bartizans positioned over the abutments. The approaches to the bridge are long, and the roadway has been asphalted.
