Description
Croftfoot School, located on Croftpark Avenue in Glasgow, was likely designed by the city architect's office in the 1930s and is a variant of a standard design. The school features a long, symmetrical northern front that is set back from the street. It is two stories tall and consists of three linked ranges with individually-roofed sections. The central range is slightly advanced and has a prominent entrance framed by giant pilasters. Each of the long flanking ranges has a door positioned near the center, with large, mainly square windows that have timber mullions and transoms. The building is constructed of red brick with ashlar dressings and has small stacks and slate roofs. Additional ranges and wings are located to the east and at the rear of the school.
