Description
This building is a terrace of tenements located at 21 and 23 Glasgow Street, dating from around 1859. It stands three storeys high over a basement and features twelve bays, with a four-bay flank facing Oakfield Avenue. The exterior is finished in polished ashlar, with a channelled design at the ground level and has been stone cleaned.
The entrance includes steps that oversail the basement, leading to pilastered doorpieces. The deeply recessed door is framed by pilastered jambs and topped with a fanlight. The upper windows are architraved and corniced at the first floor, featuring sash windows, mostly with twelve-pane glazing. There is a band course above the ground level and a string course at the cills of the first floor windows, along with an eaves cornice. The building has axial stacks and a slate roof.
