Description
This warehouse, located at 60-70 Fox Street in Glasgow, dates from around 1860 and features four storeys plus a basement. It has a symmetrical eight-bay design, with ashlar sandstone on the Fox Street facade and rubble on the sides. The building is characterized by a simple entablature with a cornice. The central hoist bay is recessed and includes a segmental arch at the eaves, topped by a gable with a narrow slit. Railings are present across the openings on each floor above ground level. Regular windows are found on each floor of the flanking bays, with a carriage entrance in the second bay from the right and a later entrance added to the outer right. The basement has openings, and while the former sash and case windows have mostly been destroyed, grilles remain on the ground floor and basement openings.
