277 Garrioch Road, Glasgow

277 Garrioch Road in Glasgow is a building dating from around 1870. It stands three storeys high with a basement and features five bays facing Garrioch Street, all of which are shallowly advanced from the canted angle of Nos 263-271. The building has a total of thirteen bays along Clouston Street. The exterior is constructed of ashlar stone, with a channelled finish at the ground level and a rubble rear elevation.

The entrance is marked by a wide tripartite architraved and bracketed doorpiece, which includes panelled storm doors. All windows are architraved and have cill courses, with the ground floor windows featuring aprons. The first floor is adorned with bracketed cornices, and there is a canted angle window. A modillion cornice runs along the top of the building.

On Clouston Street, the long elevation includes a blind window in the first bay from the west on each floor, along with two irregularly spaced doors. This elevation is detailed similarly to the Garrioch Street side. The building has a modern tiled roof and is complemented by good cast-iron railings and gatepiers along Clouston Street.
