135 Westmuir Street, Glasgow

135 Westmuir Street in Glasgow is a pair of school blocks, likely designed by Hugh H Maclure, built in the late 19th century. Each block is two stories high, features similar architectural details, and has entrances on the side. The exterior is made of stone-cleaned snecked ashlar, and both blocks have slate roofs with bracketed eaves. The original glazing remains, with first-floor windows set in round-arched panels located in the advanced outer bays.

The block on the right, dated 1878, includes a belfry turret at one corner and has pierced balconies or aprons between the floors. The rear wing of this block is not original.

The block on the left was constructed after 1878 and has longer outer bays that are more deeply advanced, topped with gambrel roofs instead of gables. It also features a forestair on the west flank.

There is an iron-railed boundary wall along the street, with gatepiers that have shaped caps. Alterations and additions were made in 1889 by Charles H Robinson.
