Description
1435 Gallowgate in Glasgow is a four-storey and attic corner building designed by Frank Burnet and Boston in 1899, with revisions by Burnet, Boston, and Carruthers in 1902. The building features a bank at ground level and has a distinctive entrance below a balconied circular corner tower topped with a conical slate roof. The architectural style is Renaissance, and the exterior is finished in red ashlar stone that has been cleaned. The street elevations are roughly symmetrical, showcasing a mix of single and double windows. The centre of the building has three-storey oriel windows with decorative gabled attic windows above, along with balustraded wall-heads and prominent chimney stacks. The roofs are mostly covered with modern tiles.
