Description
Kingsbarns School, dated 1822, is a single-storey building designed in a T-plan. The front features an ashlar gable with a pedimented porch and an ogee-capped belfry supported by cast-iron columns. The sides are constructed of droved rubble, and the roof is slated. The rear section has a piended roof, with a parallel west addition made by James Gillespie of Kingsbarns in 1849. The school has round-arched windows that retain their original glazing.
