Description

This is a two-storey building dated 1825, as indicated by a lintel belt course above the ground floor. Originally two houses, it is constructed of squared rubble with margins and has a pantiled roof. The ground floors have been altered and are now used as a post office and shop. The building’s listing reflects its contribution to the wider group value of buildings in the area, and applies to both the interior and exterior as appropriate. The statutory address is Hazeldean and No 9 Main Street.
