Description

Kirkheugh Cottage is a building that was originally an early 19th century kiln, reconstructed in its current form around 1850 in connection with the former gas works. It is a single-storey structure with a basement, featuring two windows and a door on the south front, which has a forestair. The exterior is finished with painted stucco and has ashlar lining out, along with a piended roof. There is a semi-elliptical pend arch in the gable facing the lane and shaped side chimney gables. The building was modernised in 1973.
