Description

The Old Windmill Tower, located on Windmill Road in Dysart, dates from the 17th to 18th century. It is a vaulted tower mill constructed of coursed rubble, featuring a later brick parapet. The structure has a circular plan with steeply battered walls and a reduced top stage that leads to a corbelled, battlemented parapet. There is a relieving arch near the ground on the east side, which was once part of the vault. The northeast side has a door and two windows that are currently blinded. The interior was not accessible as of 1997.
