2 Townhead, Dysart

10 West Port in Dysart is an 18th-century single-storey and attic cottage, built on ground that slopes down to the southeast. The structure is made of colour-washed rubble with painted stone margins.

On the southwest elevation, there is a window to the right of the centre, with small windows in the flanking bays and tiny windows above, close to the eaves. Two large rooflights are positioned above. There is an out-of-character window on the outer left and a modern window adjacent to the right.

The northwest elevation features a deep-set door to the left of the centre, accompanied by a window to the outer left and a corniced stone balustrade above. To the right is a blank gabled bay.

The cottage has a small-pane glazing pattern to the right on the southwest side, while modern top-opening windows with plate glass glazing are found elsewhere. The roof is steeply pitched, covered with pantiles and has slate eaves easing course. The chimney stacks are made of coped ashlar and painted stone, with some metal cans, and the skews are also ashlar-coped.
