Description
28-29 Somerville Square in Burntisland is an 18th-century building, possibly dating back even earlier, with later alterations. It is a two-storey, three-bay rectangular dwelling with an 'M' shaped gable, situated in an irregular terrace. The exterior is harled with painted margins.
On the north elevation, the entrance door is located to the left of center, accompanied by a window to the left and another window to the outer right. The first floor features two windows with swept dormer-heads that break the eaves.
The south elevation has a part-glazed door on the left, with a narrow light adjacent to it on the left side, and two windows to the right at the ground level. There are steps and a walkway leading to another part-glazed door, which also has an adjacent light to the left and two windows to the right at the first floor.
The west elevation shows the south gable, which has a window to the left at the first floor, situated above steps leading to the neighboring property.
The building features a 12-pane glazing pattern in its sash and case windows, and it is topped with pantiles, coped ashlar skews, stacks, and cans.
