Description

Earlier 19th century. 3-storey and attic, 8-bay (grouped 4-4) classical tenement with shops at ground. Polished ashlar. Ground floor cornice to left of centre, cill courses and mutuled eaves cornice with blocking course. Architraved windows, corniced to 1st floor.

S (HIGH STREET) ELEVATION: Greek Doric columned doorcase with block pediment, decorative cast-iron lamp bracket and panelled timber door with plate glass fanlight off-centre right, modern shops in flanking bays. Regular fenestration to 1st and 2nd floors, and 4 slate-hung dormer windows above.

12-pane glazing pattern in timber sash and case windows, plate glass glazing in casement windows to dormers and fixed display windows to ground. Grey slate. Broad, cavetto coped ashlar stacks with cans.
