1 Harbour Place, Burntisland

1 Harbour Place in Burntisland is a 17th-century house that was dismantled and rebuilt in 1976, with significant alterations made to both the front and rear, including an enlarged opening. The building is two stories high with an attic, and three stories at the rear, featuring a rectangular plan and four bays. It is situated on a corner site within an irregular terrace on a slope that descends from east to west. The exterior is harled with painted margins, and it has a forestair and crowsteps.

On the west (entrance) elevation, there is a door to the left, followed by three windows to the right. The first floor has four windows that are slightly off-line in the second bay. To the left, there are two swept dormer windows, and to the right, there is a bipartite swept dormer window.

The north elevation is recessed to the right, with a forestair leading to a central door that has a fanlight above. The left side projects, featuring a window to the right of the center close to the ground and an adjacent small window to the right. There is a window to the outer left on the first floor, a window to the outer right between floors, and another window to the left on the second floor.

The windows are timber sash and case with a 12-pane glazing pattern. The roof is covered with red pantiles, and there are slate-hung and slate-roofed dormers. A large stepped cement-rendered stack with ashlar coping and cans is present, along with crowsteps that feature beak skewputts.
