Description
Bandar Abbas is an 18th-century, two-storey, three-bay U-plan house that has been converted into a former post office/shop and flat, and is currently used as flatted accommodation as of 2001. The building features ashlar margins and is harled.
On the south elevation, there is a central door flanked by large windows, with three first-floor windows located at the eaves. The west elevation has a plain wall and is attached to the adjacent Algoa Bay House to the north. The north elevation has an east wing with a door on the left and a window on the right, along with additional windows in the right return on both the ground and first floors. The west wing has a window to the left, an archway to the right, and a door to the left within, as well as a first-floor window. There are ground and first-floor windows on the left return, and a lean-to porch set back to the centre.
The east elevation is a plain wall and is attached to The Ridge. The ground floor features 12-pane timber sash and case windows on the principal elevation, while other windows have been replaced. The doors have also been replaced with timber ones. The building has a pitched roof at the front covered with pantiles, gable apex stacks, a piended east wing with clay pantiles, a flat roof on the west wing, and clay pantiles on the rear lean-to porch. The interior has been modernised.
