Description

The mausoleum at Strathtyrum House, dated 1781, features a curious Gothick design. It has a square plan and is constructed of ashlar stone. The building has three-bay elevations with square pinnacled piers. The central bays are topped with elliptical arches and fluted parapets, while the narrow outer bays display blind diamond patterns. Above, there is a diamond pattern parapet. The entrance door is splayed and semi-elliptical, and there are Gothick windows with two and three lights on the other elevations.
