Description

The mausoleum at Whitehaugh, likely designed by John Smith around 1838, is built of ashlar and has a square plan. It features a perpendicular Gothic style with urns at the corners, although these have now fallen. The structure has a barrel-vaulted ceiling and a bellcote on the west gable. The east gable includes a large window with excellent tracery, while the side walls are blind. Inside, there are grave slabs and tablets dating from 1588, 1597, and other years.
