Description
Montgarrie Mills is a large four-storey building constructed around 1870 to 1880. It is made of rubble and features a kiln. The mill is equipped with a 25-foot by 4-foot 6-inch iron overshot wheel, which has a 15-foot sprocket wheel and operates at 6 revolutions per minute. The drive system includes a chain drive and a large cast iron gearbox. Additionally, a lade was reinforced with concrete in 1947.
