8 Mid Causeway, Culross

8 Mid Causeway in Culross is an 18th-century, symmetrical two-storey, three-bay house with a later rear wing. The exterior is harled, featuring stugged stone surrounds, an eaves course, and strip quoins on the principal elevation.

On the southeast elevation, there is a central door flanked by single windows. Above, two first-floor windows are centered over the ground floor windows, close to the eaves. The southwest elevation has a ground and first-floor window to the left, with the rear wing set back slightly. This elevation also includes a single ground floor and first-floor window. The northwest elevation features glazed patio doors with a central window above, and to the far left is a modern extension that belongs to The Dundonald Arms Hotel. The northeast elevation adjoins The Dundonald Arms Hotel.

The house has 12-pane timber sash and case windows and a two-leaf timber panelled door. The roof is pitched and slated, with a corniced stack at the southwest gable apex and circular cans. The rear wing also has a pitched roof.

Inside, the interior is modern.
