Description
5 Mcdouall Stuart Place in Dysart is an 18th-century house that has undergone significant alterations. It is a two-storey, three-bay building with a crowstepped design, situated in an irregular terrace to the southeast. The exterior is harled with stone margins.
On the northeast elevation facing Mcdouall Stuart Place, there is a door at the center of the ground floor and three windows on the first floor. The southwest elevation, which is the rear of the house, is mostly hidden by a high boundary wall, but features a canted tripartite window to the left on the first floor.
The house has small-pane glazing in timber sash and case windows on the northeast side. The roof is covered with pantiles and has a slate easing course at the eaves. There is a coped harled stack with polygonal cans, and the skews are ashlar-coped with a St Andrew's Cross at the skewputt.
The boundary walls surrounding the property are also coped and harled.
