Description

This bridge, designed by Thomas Grainger and completed in 1847, features a single wide semi-elliptical arch. It has curved approach retaining walls that include terminal piers. The structure is adorned with rusticated voussoirs and dressings. At the top, there are pedimental ashlar parapets that have terminal panels with semi-elliptical tops.
