Description

Our Lady Star of the Sea Roman Catholic Church, built in 1939 by Reginald Fairlie, is designed in the Scots Gothic style and features a stuccoed exterior. The building has a rectangular shape with a square porch that leads to an octagonal tower topped with a spirelet, which is dated. A sculptured figure in the tower was created by Hew Lorimer. The church also includes an apse and a hall that is positioned at right angles to the main structure. The windows are canted, adding to the architectural interest of the building.
