Description

East Lodge at Balcaskie House was built in 1846 by Burn and Bryce as a gamekeeper's house, with kennels located at the rear. The building has a T-plan layout and is a single storey structure featuring a gabled porch in the north re-entrant angle. It is constructed with stugged coursers and has chamfered ashlar dressings. The windows are arranged in 2 and 3-light configurations and are topped with bracketed hoods. All the gables have crowstepped designs, and there is a central coped stack on a slate roof.
