Description

Architect probably David Bryce. Dated 1867. Single storey

and attic, 3-bay cottage linked at rear (E) to kennels.

Stugged and snecked ashlar with polished dressings; all roofs

covered with graded slates.

COTTAGE: mostly wide ground floor windows with timber

mullions; bracketed eaves; massive (S) end stack and

projecting panelled chimney breast with set-offs; W elevation

with advanced gable right, gabled porch in re-entrant angle

with shouldered doorway; low rear wing.

KENNELS: rectangular-plan range at N end of cast-iron railed

large enclosure and linked by gateway to cottage.
