155-161 High Street, Leslie

155-161 High Street in Leslie is a mid-19th century tenement building, featuring three storeys and a three-bay T-plan design, situated within an irregular terrace to the west. The exterior is constructed from squared and snecked whinstone, with cement render at the rear, and painted stone margins along with an eaves lintel course.

The south elevation facing High Street is symmetrical, with a central door flanked by windows on either side, and a consistent arrangement of windows on the first and second floors. The north elevation includes a piend-roofed T-projection stairwell, which has a door positioned to the left of centre at nearly first floor height, with a stair window above it. There are regular single bays on either side of the stairwell on the upper floors, and an additional window located at the inner right on the second floor.

On the west elevation, there are single windows on the outer right at both the first and second floors, along with a small attic window in the gablehead to the right of centre. The east elevation features a window on the outer left at the second floor.

Most of the windows have modern two-pane plate glass pivot glazing, while the second floor centre and west elevation have sash and case windows with a four-pane glazing pattern. The roof is covered with grey slates, and the building has ashlar coped skews and coped whinstone gablehead stacks with some chimney cans.

The boundary walls consist of a low saddle-back coped whinstone terrace wall at the front and high whinstone rubble walls to the west.
