Description
112B South Street in St Andrews is a house dating from 1734, featuring two storeys and an attic with three bays. The building was restored in the late 1930s by architect J Donald Mills of Mills and Shepherd. It has a harled exterior with painted margins, which are chamfered around the door and window to the right. The roof is slate, and there are four-pane timber sash and case windows. The central entrance consists of a two-leaf flush panelled door with glazed top panes, above which is a marriage lintel inscribed with an anchor motif and the initials JR EC. There are windows on both sides of the door, two windows on the first floor, and a small window at the centre, along with a swept dormer.
Inside, the house features a fielded panelled room on both the ground and first floors, fielded panelled doors, some 18th and 19th century chimneypieces, and moulded cornices.
