Description
16 and 18 Eastgate in Kinghorn is an 18th-century, two-storey, three-bay flatted dwelling that forms part of a regular terrace to the northeast. The building features whitewashed render with stone cills and a base course.
The southeast elevation is symmetrical, with a boarded timber door and a plate glass fanlight located in the center bay at ground level. There are windows in the flanking bays and an additional timber door in the outer left wall. The first floor has regular fenestration.
On the northwest elevation, there is a projecting gabled wing. The southwest elevation has a gabled appearance, with a window on the outer left at the first floor and a tiny opening to the right in the gablehead. The ground floor detail is obscured by a boundary wall.
The windows are timber sash and case, featuring 4-pane and plate glass glazing patterns. The roof is covered with pantiles, and there are harled stacks with cans and thackstanes, along with ashlar-coped skews.
The boundary walls are made of rubble and have semicircular coping.
