Kingsbarns Farm (8 Kildinny Yards), Kingsbarns

Kingsbarns Farm comprises a farmhouse and associated agricultural buildings dating primarily to the 18th and early 19th centuries. The farmhouse was modernised in the early 20th century and is two storeys high with four windows, featuring a harl (roughcast) finish and a slate roof. A porch has been added. The farm buildings remain largely unaltered and are constructed of rubble with pantile roofing. Notable features include an octagonal horsemill situated on the north side and a two-storey range facing North Street. This range has an inset triangular pediment and was previously reroofed with asbestos; it also includes a single-storey wing and a cottage, now converted into a garage. The farmhouse is listed for its group value, reflecting the historical relationship between the house and its agricultural surroundings.
