Kingsbarns Farm (6 Smiddy Burn)

Kingsbarns Farm comprises a farmhouse and associated farm buildings, with a largely 18th and early 19th-century layout. The farmhouse was modernised in the early 20th century and is a two-storey, four-window building with a harl render and slate roof. It features a porch. The farm buildings themselves remain largely unaltered, constructed of rubble with pantile roofing. A distinctive octagonal horsemill stands on the north side. A two-storey range of buildings, formerly to North Street, now has an asbestos roof and includes an inset triangular pediment, a single-storey wing, and a cottage that has been converted into a garage. The farmhouse has group value, meaning its significance lies in its contribution to the character of the farmstead as a whole rather than individual architectural merit.
